The Last of Us Part 2

Just announced at the PlayStation experience, seemingly featuring Joel and Ellie once again. The first game was considered probably one of the finest offerings of the last gen. So are we looking at predictable retread or something approaching innovation given Ellie's age and the plot points of last game.

Cool. Just got in from work and had no idea about this, or anything else from PSX. Might look for a press conference replay.

Woo let the hype train commence, ain't no breaks on the Naught Dog bandwagon!

I played a bit of the first one, it seemed pretty good but hardly the finest game ever made as many seemed to be aggressively declaring about it lol.

Quiet you, that's heathen talk, you're not allowed to criticise the holy grail of gaming.

On a more serious note: I didn't think it was all that great. The story was top notch, but hardly the greatest thing ever. The gamplay was pretty average too.

I've never played this game. I owned it once, but the PS3 I intended to play it on turned out to be broken so I missed my chance.

I enjoyed it, it has good gameplay and a great story. Not sure it needed a sequel as I like where it ended, but then again, after seeing the trailer for Part II, discovering what happened between then and now is what's most intriguing to me.
