Darkest dungeon on PC

Have to say about 9 out of 10. Really good game, the only thing is that it's pure chance in combat sometimes, but it is a challenge that never is too much. It's early release beta but I have to say it is pleasantly different and I am enjoying it as it is just a refreshing change. The voice over of the narrator is awesome as well, almost a mixture of Morgan freeman and max Von sydow lol

Pokemon Alpha Sapphire 9/10

Played this first time round, but had to go through it again.

There's not too much to say, it's pokemon you know what it is. The new graphics are lovely, making areas feel epic and actually impressive, and the battles generally look good. The plot is tyoical ridiculous pokemon stuff, but there is some amusing dialogue from the Team Aqua (/Magma) grunts.

Plenty to do too, the main game felt quite quick but I realised it had taken me 39hrs to get there. Lots to do postgame as well, there's a bonus story called Delta Episode which brings in the legendaries from Emerald and there are plenty of legendaries to hunt down and catch.

The game does have a few too many random battles at times, it can really kill the atmosphere in a few areas, and there are a few odd things that didn't make it in from the last game (customisation and stuff). Also though there's a voice chat option you can't move while using it - making it pointless except for online battles.

Has anyone got anything positive or negative to say about Alien Isolation?

I love the idea of it and I love the Alien universe (Actually just the 1st and 2nd film (Prometheus was ok as a stand alone film)). I just don't want to get burnt and find out its Colonial Marines terrible of Alien vs Predator average.

Also can anyone confirm if it really is better with Kinect? Will hopefully buy a one in the coming weeks and along with GTA V it's in consideration for a purchase straight away. Just not sure if it's woth purchasing the kinect version

It's a superb game and the artistic style, music and AI are standout high points. The Kinect adds a bit for me as you can set it so the Alien can here you and so you can peak round corners and in vents of cupboards. It is quite hard though.

Yeah these are the interesting mechanics that the Kinect adds that made me sit up. But would it justify the expense of adding kinect to the bundle? If the game is hard then that's a positive for me

Also hope i'm not derailing the topic at hand. Wasn't sure where else to post it unless there's a hidden games advice forum

Slightly surprised you've gone this far without hearing all the praise that's been sung for it, it's pretty great.

I would say that the Kinect is worth the extra outlay for the improved dash navigation by itself.

Good job I read my own posts *sigh* should have said hear.

Nah I'd heard it's praise but then also noticed some of the lower score reviews on the dreaded Metacritic. I would rather go on users experiences though than an arbitrary score.

Guess it's GTA V and Alien Isolation for me then. Thanks guys

Alien is fantastic, wouldn't buy a kinect because of it though. Buy extra underwear instead.
...and if you tell that to the kids of today, they wont believe you!

You've probably answered the question here that I just asked in the gaming deals thread. Is it worth the added expense of including the kinect. The feedback seems inconclusive. I want kinect but not that added price tag
