Favourite PC game of all time

Well? Personally I think in terms of what I played the most it has to be Red Alert 2 (and its expansion Yuri's Revenge), what a fun game. Of course in multiplayer it was just a race to get as many Apocalypse Tanks, Kirovs or Mirror Tanks as possible before winning...

How on earth does one decide this? Is it Baldurs Gate 1/2? Neverwinter Nights? Or do i estimate the total amount of hours spent playing Championship/Football Manager or Civilisation? Red Alert 2 is another i was addicted too, love me some RTS.

I'd say Civ wins in terms of hours accumulated, not sure if i can 100% say it's my favourite though.

Define PC game? Non multiplatform? I'd say Total War Rome 1. I lost about 100 hours in that... last year!

If any game on pc I'd go for XCOM. Max Payne 3 is wicked in 60fps too.

Big shout out to sim city 4 and online (yes I know the latter is evil and slimline, but it's so simple and addictive).
...and if you tell that to the kids of today, they wont believe you!

I had a really bad PC, but a game I played for hours on end when I couldn't play Call of Duty was Crossfire when I was like 10 - it was a free FPS which I literally played non-stop.

That's all I have really.

Man I need to get a better PC.

System Shock 2 SHODAN is one of the best villains in gaming. The game really made good use of atmosphere, and story as told through audio logs was a trick so nice Doom stole it from them and Bioshock would repeat the trick.

Rome Total War was quite simply the dogs danglies!!

I only really play Total War games on my Pc, and i stopped playing them after the disaster that was Rome Total War 2!

I have over 1000+ hours each clocked on Rome and Expansions, Medieval 2 and expansions, Shogun 2 and expansions, Napoleon and expansions and about 500 hours on Empire and its expansions and Rome 2!

Only ever played strategy titles on laptops and such so I can't really say much beyond agreeing with Decent Jam about RA2, although C and C Tiberian Sun wins for me out of that lot.

I would also humbly submit Cossacks too. A very enjoyable game that I sunk hours and hours into without a thought.
I don't want your damn lemons!

There are a few like football manager, or in the day when it was called championship manager. Also even though it was on the xbox, the two games that the PC was responsible for introducing me too and that is kotor and kotor II. And of course swtor

Most played PC game for me was Ultima Online 2D client on my 56kbp/s dial up AOL modem. Played it for years with a ping of over 500, but loved every minute of it. Best PC game imo.

Gotta be all Witcher games, they just continue the story of the novels so well, and each is unique in its own way
