Chester, one of my basset hounds, had to be put to sleep this morning. Sad

Developed a spinal problem seemingly out of nowhere last Wednesday evening and gradually lost all control of his back legs in the following week. Process was strange due to COVID-19 measures, and not made any easier by the fact he still seemed like himself in every other way. Happy chappy to the end.

Sorry to hear that Sam, as you say at least he was still cheery throughout.

Sorry to hear that, Sam. Happy chappy is as nice a way to leave as any though.

Lost the last of my cats (used to have four) today. Milo was 16 but still like a young cat, even up to a few hours ago. Just woke up from a nap and couldn’t use his legs, though it was clear he was in pain from the noise he was making. Vet thinks he had an embolism in his sleep.

Pretty close proximity to losing Chester, though to make things worse my uncle also passed away in between. 2020 is shit and all that.
